History of the CRRC Logo
CRRC was created on 1 June 2015 through the merger of China’s two state rail giants, CNR and CSR, uniting a lineage of locomotive works stretching back more than a century. Headquartered in Beijing, CRRC quickly became the largest rolling-stock maker on earth by revenue. Its emblem pairs a red geometric mark derived from the Chinese character for a vehicle with the bilingual CRRC wordmark. The current CRRC logo presented on this page is the official mark in use today, kept in its original colors and proportions.
Meaning of the CRRC Logo
- The red emblem is built from the Chinese character for ‘vehicle’ (车), tying the mark directly to rail transport.
- CRRC red signals energy, speed and Chinese industrial pride.
- The black bilingual wordmark, pairing Chinese characters with CRRC, reflects the group’s global export ambitions.
