About the Cadbury Logo Logo
Introduction
The Cadbury logo is a flowing gold signature — the founder’s family name written as if by hand, in gold. Download the Cadbury logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Cadbury was founded in 1824 by John Cadbury, who opened a shop in Birmingham, England selling tea, coffee and drinking chocolate. The company became one of Britain’s great chocolate makers — Dairy Milk arrived in 1905 — and since 2010 Cadbury has been owned by Mondelez International, with its historic home at Bournville, Birmingham.

History of the Cadbury Logo
The script logo is based on the signature of William Cadbury, the founder’s grandson, and was adopted in the 20th century as the brand’s master mark. In 2020 Cadbury refreshed the signature — redrawing it with a finer, more contemporary hand — and paired it with the returning ‘glass and a half’ icon; the gold version is used across the Dairy Milk range.
Meaning of the Cadbury Logo
- The signature: a real family hand turned into a logo — personal guarantee rather than corporate mark.
- The gold: the colour of the foil under the purple wrapper, and of a premium recipe.
- The purple pairing: the script is almost always read against Cadbury purple, a colour the company once trademarked.
