About the Eni Logo Logo
Introduction
A six-legged dog breathing fire, drawn in a single wash of yellow beside three lowercase letters — the Eni logo in this download is the current identity of Italy’s energy giant, taken from the company’s own website artwork.
Brand Overview
Eni is an Italian multinational energy company founded in 1953 in Rome under the leadership of Enrico Mattei. Majority-influenced by the Italian state, it is one of the world’s oil and gas “supermajors”, active in more than 60 countries. Its official website is eni.com.
History of the Eni Logo
The six-legged dog was created in 1952 for Agip, Eni’s fuel brand, and became so beloved that it outlived every redesign around it. In Eni’s current identity — refreshed in 2025 — the famous dog and the lowercase “eni” are drawn in one single yellow, dropping the black lettering and red flame of earlier versions. The all-yellow mark in this download is that current version, sourced from eni.com’s own logo file.
Meaning of the Logo
- The six-legged dog: Four legs are the wheels of a car, two are the driver’s — a 1952 symbol of the motorist and his machine moving as one creature.
- The flame: Fire streams from the dog’s mouth: the energy the company sells, carried by its most loyal mascot.
- One yellow: The 2025 identity washes dog and wordmark in a single golden yellow — the colour of the flame itself, now colouring the whole brand.
Eni Logo Colors
| Color | Hex Code | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Eni Yellow | #FAB600 | The deep tone of the wordmark and dog (the logo file’s own fill value) |
| Eni Light Yellow | #FFCC00 | The bright tone of the yellow gradient |
The Eni mark is a yellow gradient artwork; the space around it in this download is fully transparent.
Conclusion
Eni’s logo is Italy’s favourite monster: a six-legged dog, seventy years old, now glowing entirely in the yellow of its own flame.
