About the Repsol Logo Logo
Introduction
A lowercase word in deep blue beside a small sun melting through yellow, orange and pink — the Repsol logo in this download is the brand’s new 2025 identity, byte-identical to the logo file on repsol.com.
Brand Overview
Repsol is a Spanish multinational energy and petrochemical company founded in 1987 in Madrid, when Spain gathered its state oil assets into a single group. Headquartered in Madrid, it works across upstream production, refining, chemicals and new energies. Its official website is repsol.com.
History of the Repsol Logo
Repsol’s name fuses the old Escombreras refinery company with “sol” — the Spanish sun. From 2012 the brand used a striped globe symbol with upright capitals; in 2025 Repsol replaced it with the identity in this download: a lowercase, friendlier wordmark and a compact sun whose bands melt from yellow through orange to pink. It is the version now served on repsol.com.
Meaning of the Logo
- The melting sun: The symbol is the “sol” in Repsol’s name — a sun drawn as flowing bands of heat, from pale yellow to sunset pink.
- The lowercase turn: The 2025 wordmark drops the corporate capitals for rounded lowercase — an oil major deliberately softening its voice for the energy transition.
- Deep blue anchor: Against the hot gradient, the wordmark’s dark blue keeps the new playfulness moored to a serious balance sheet.
Repsol Logo Colors
| Color | Hex Code | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Repsol Blue | #001E37 | The wordmark (the logo file’s own fill value) |
| Repsol Yellow | #FFEC89 | The top band of the sun symbol |
| Repsol Orange | #FF7816 | The middle band of the sun symbol |
| Repsol Pink-Red | #FF4E4E | The lowest band of the sun symbol |
The sun symbol is a warm gradient artwork and the wordmark is flat dark blue; the space around the lockup in this download is fully transparent.
Conclusion
Repsol’s new logo lets the sun in its name do the work: a melting gradient sunset beside a name that finally dresses down.
