AutoZone is the largest retailer of automotive parts and accessories in the United States, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1979 by Joseph Reeves Hyde III as Auto Shack — a division of his family’s grocery business — it grew to 74 stores within three years. It went public on the NYSE in 1991 (ticker AZO), joined the Fortune 500 in 1999, and today operates nearly 7,000 stores across the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Brazil.
The italic red wordmark leans forward like a car accelerating, while the orange rectangle on its left — cut diagonally and striped with white lines that narrow toward the name — evokes a guardrail and a road rushing past. Red and orange signal energy and power, while a thin black outline and subtle shadow add professionalism. The design communicates exactly what the retailer sells: speed, progress and keeping cars moving.
The colors are bright red, vivid orange and white, with black in the outline and shadow. The custom sans-serif wordmark is italicized and rounded, with only the A and Z capitalized, and the pointed, angular letter ends sharpen the sense of speed. Whether you need an autozone logo png with a transparent background or an autozone logo svg vector for crisp scaling, the red-and-orange artwork stays instantly recognizable at any size.
