About the San Pellegrino Logo Logo
Introduction
A red five-pointed star above deep-blue serif capitals — the S.Pellegrino logo has labelled Italy’s most famous sparkling water since the Belle Époque, shipped from a spa town in the foothills of the Bergamo Alps.
Brand Overview
S.Pellegrino is a sparkling mineral water from San Pellegrino Terme, Italy, where the spring has been celebrated since the Renaissance — Leonardo da Vinci visited and wrote about the waters in 1509. The company was founded in 1899 and is today owned by Nestlé (Sanpellegrino S.p.A.). Its official website is sanpellegrino.com.
History of the San Pellegrino Logo
When the grand casino and spa hotels made San Pellegrino Terme fashionable, the water’s labels took on the red star that still crowns the wordmark — a symbol long associated with Italian quality exports. The name beneath it is set in sturdy navy serif capitals with white inline highlights, a piece of lettering that has survived, nearly unchanged, from the age of ocean liners to today’s fine-dining tables. The version in this download is that classic lockup.
Meaning of the Logo
- The red star: A seal of Italian excellence — small, bright and unmistakable across a crowded restaurant table.
- Navy serif capitals: Formal, almost legal lettering that positions the water as an institution rather than a beverage trend.
- The inline highlight: The white line carved through each letter imitates light on cut glass — the sparkle, drawn.
San Pellegrino Logo Colors
| Color | Hex Code | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| S.Pellegrino Blue | #062251 | The S.PELLEGRINO lettering (the logo file’s own fill value) |
| Pellegrino Red | #E40520 | The star (the logo file’s own fill value) |
Navy and red are the artwork’s own fill values — the complete identity is a star and a name.
Conclusion
S.Pellegrino’s logo is Belle Époque table manners in two colours — a red star of quality over a name set like an engraved invitation.
