Introduction
A red cube unfolding into three dimensions beside three heavy lowercase letters — the DPD logo is the mark of Europe’s second-largest parcel network. The cube does the talking: it is a parcel, drawn as a logo.
Brand Overview
DPD (DPDgroup) is an international parcel delivery network founded in Germany in 1976 as Deutscher Paketdienst, a cooperative of German freight companies. Now part of GeoPost, the parcel arm of France’s La Poste group, it delivers millions of parcels a day across Europe and beyond. Its official website is dpd.com.
History of the DPD Logo
DPD’s identity was redrawn in 2015, when the group unified its European brands under one mark: a three-dimensional red cube — the parcel itself, opened into an isometric emblem — beside the name in a heavy lowercase grotesque. The artwork in this download is that 2015 identity, the logo DPD still carries across its vans and lockers today.
Meaning of the Logo
- The red cube: An isometric box with its flaps in motion — the product DPD moves, abstracted into a single red (#DC0032) emblem.
- The lowercase name: dpd in a dark grey (#3F3F42) heavyweight sans — engineered, factual, and deliberately un-decorated.
- Red and grey: One signal colour for the network, one neutral for the name — the same pairing as a DPD van: red cube on grey-white metal.
DPD Logo Colors
| Color | Hex Code | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| DPD Red | #DC0032 | The cube emblem (the logo file’s own fill value) |
| DPD Grey | #3F3F42 | The dpd wordmark (the logo file’s own fill value) |
Both colours are the artwork’s own fill values, taken from the logo file.
Conclusion
DPD’s logo is the business in one object: a red parcel, folded into a cube, signed in grey.
