Introduction
Two lines of deep-blue serif type with a crown hidden in the name — the Corona logo in this download is the wordmark of Mexico’s gift to every beach on Earth.
Brand Overview
Corona Extra is a Mexican pale lager first brewed in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo in Mexico City, Mexico. Served with a wedge of lime in its clear longneck bottle, it became the best-selling imported beer in the United States and a global symbol of slow afternoons; the brand belongs to AB InBev, with US rights held by Constellation Brands. Its official website is corona.com.
History of the Corona Logo
“Corona” is Spanish for crown, and the beer’s full label has always staged a royal scene: a crown above the wordmark, flanked by two griffins — mythical guardians borrowed from the Mexico City brewery’s iconography — and the boast “La Cerveza Más Fina”, the finest beer. The wordmark itself, stately blue serif capitals over a smaller “Extra”, has stayed remarkably stable since the early labels, and it is this blue wordmark — the element used across Corona’s global branding — that this download reproduces.
Meaning of the Logo
- The name: A crown in a word — Corona promises the king of beers in Spanish before you read another line.
- The griffins: On the full label, two griffins stand guard over the crown, protectors of something precious.
- Corona Blue: The deep blue of the wordmark is the colour of Mexican skies and the sea the brand is forever photographed against.

Conclusion
Corona’s wordmark is a crown you can read — blue serif type that carries a century of Mexican sunshine without a single picture.
