Introduction
The BRIO logo is four heavy black letters — plain, sturdy and unmistakably Swedish. It belongs to BRIO AB, the wooden toy company famous for its wooden railway system. Download the BRIO logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
BRIO was founded in 1884 in Osby, Sweden, by basket maker Ivar Bengtsson, whose sons built the company — the name BRIO derives from “Bröderna Ivarsson, Osby” (the Ivarsson brothers of Osby). Its wooden railway, launched in 1958 with beechwood tracks and magnetic couplings, became the template for wooden train sets worldwide. BRIO is now part of Germany’s Ravensburger Group.

History of the BRIO Logo
BRIO’s name has been stamped on toys for over a century, and the current mark is the most reduced version yet: a bold, geometric sans-serif in solid black with a registered mark at the shoulder. Earlier versions carried colour and softer letterforms; today’s black wordmark matches the company’s minimalist Scandinavian design language.
Meaning of the BRIO Logo
- Block letters: the chunky capitals are built like the beechwood blocks themselves — solid, square and hard to knock over.
- Black only: a single colour is a confident Scandinavian choice; the toys supply the colour, the brand supplies the structure.
- No symbol: four letters carry 140 years of reputation without decoration.
