Introduction
The Bandai logo stacks white BANDAI letters inside a red rounded square. It is the consumer toy mark of Bandai, the Japanese toymaker behind Gundam model kits, Tamagotchi and Power Rangers toys. Download the Bandai logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Bandai was founded in 1950 in Tokyo by Naoharu Yamashina as Bandaiya, a small textile and toy wholesaler that became Bandai in 1961. It grew into Japan’s defining toy company — Gunpla kits, character toys, capsule gashapon and the Tamagotchi craze of 1996. In 2005 Bandai merged with game maker Namco to form Bandai Namco Holdings; the red Bandai square remains the mark on its toys.
- Founded: 1950, Tokyo, Japan
- Founder: Naoharu Yamashina
- Industry: Toys and character goods
- Headquarters: Taito, Tokyo, Japan
History of the Bandai Logo
Bandai’s early marks included a boy mascot and various lettering styles. The stacked white-on-red square became the standard toy mark: the six letters split as BAN over DAI in a squared, almost stamped block. It is distinct from the Bandai Namco corporate identity — the group’s 2022 bubble logo — which is why the two live as separate products here on VectorDose.
Meaning of the Bandai Logo
- The red square: the block works like a Japanese hanko seal — a stamp of authenticity on every character toy.
- Stacked letters: splitting BAN over DAI makes a square of the name, compact enough for tiny blister packs and model-kit corners.
- Pure red: the sampled red is a full-strength signal colour, matching the energy of the anime and tokusatsu franchises Bandai serves.
Bandai Logo Colors
| Color | Hex | RGB |
|---|---|---|
| Bandai Red | #FF0000 | 255, 0, 0 |
| White | #FFFFFF | 255, 255, 255 |
The combination is the purest red in this category with white type — a seal, not a decoration.
Conclusion
Bandai’s red square has stamped three generations of Japanese character toys. Download the Bandai logo in SVG and transparent PNG formats, free at VectorDose.
