Introduction
The Frigidaire logo is a flowing script wordmark — so famous that ‘frigidaire’ once meant any refrigerator at all. Download the Frigidaire logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Frigidaire was founded in 1916 in Dayton, Ohio, as the Guardian Frigerator Company, and renamed Frigidaire in 1919 under General Motors. Its electric refrigerators made the brand a household word across America. Since 1986 Frigidaire has belonged to Sweden’s Electrolux, selling fridges, ovens and air conditioners from Charlotte, North Carolina.

History of the Frigidaire Logo
Frigidaire’s script lettering has swung between art-deco capitals and cursive forms across a century. The current identity keeps the hand-drawn script — refreshed in dark tones on the modern site and products — a deliberate link to the brand that taught America to refrigerate.
Meaning of the Frigidaire Logo
- The script: handwriting promises the personal, dealer-serviced appliance age Frigidaire invented.
- The long tail strokes: the sweeping first and last letters frame the name like a signature on a warranty card.
- No symbol: few brands can rely on handwriting alone — Frigidaire’s name recognition allows it.
