Introduction
The Sub-Zero logo sets grey lettering with a small blue snowflake inside a fine frame — the refrigerator brand that invented built-in luxury. Download the Sub-Zero logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Sub-Zero was founded in 1945 in Madison, Wisconsin, by Westye F. Bakke, who built some of the first free-standing freezers. The company created the built-in, cabinet-depth refrigerator category and still hand-builds its units in Wisconsin and Arizona, alongside sister brands Wolf (cooking) and Cove (dishwashing).

History of the Sub-Zero Logo
Sub-Zero’s framed wordmark — the name in engineered grey capitals with a blue asterisk snowflake standing in for the hyphen’s chill — has signed its built-in refrigerators for decades. The frame echoes the stainless grille that makes a Sub-Zero recognisable across a kitchen.
Meaning of the Sub-Zero Logo
- The snowflake: a blue asterisk of frost replaces punctuation — the coldest detail in the logo.
- The grey lettering: stainless-steel grey, the material Sub-Zero made standard in luxury kitchens.
- The frame: the thin outline mirrors the refrigerator’s own rectangular grille and cabinet lines.
