Brand Overview

History of the Whirlpool Logo
Whirlpool’s early marks were plain lettering around a swirl device. The 2017 identity stripped the logo to essentials: a confident black wordmark with one gold loop drawn through it — the ‘whirlpool’ reduced to a single gesture that works at any size, from a badge to a billboard.
Meaning of the Whirlpool Logo
- The gold swirl: one continuous loop — water in motion, the washing machine’s whole reason to exist, drawn in a single stroke.
- The black wordmark: heavy lowercase-friendly lettering keeps the century-old name feeling domestic, not industrial.
- The gold colour: a warm premium accent against the black, echoing the brand’s ‘everyday care’ warmth.
