Introduction
The Playmobil logo is a chunky rounded wordmark named after the 7.5 cm figures it sells. The vector here is the one-colour form published in the official logo sprite on playmobil.com. Download the Playmobil logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Playmobil was launched in 1974 by the German company geobra Brandstätter of Zirndorf, Bavaria. Designer Hans Beck created the simple smiling figure — a child-sized 7.5 cm character with gripping hands — during the oil crisis, when the company needed a toy that used little plastic. Knights, pirates and construction sets followed, and more than three billion Playmobil figures have been produced.

History of the Playmobil Logo
The rounded lowercase wordmark has accompanied the figures since the 1970s, usually printed in Playmobil blue on boxes, and in white or black as a one-colour mark. Its letterforms were softened over the years but never replaced: the fat, friendly type is as much a fixture of childhood as the figures’ painted smiles.
Meaning of the Playmobil Logo
- Rounded lowercase: every letter is soft and inflated, echoing the smooth, edge-free plastic of the figures.
- One-piece flow: the letters sit shoulder to shoulder like a row of figures standing together.
- One-colour flexibility: the mark is drawn to work in a single colour — blue, white or black — on any playset box.
