Introduction
A paw print whose pad is a heart, beside two confident words and a promise — the PetMeds logo in this download is the current identity of America’s best-known online pet pharmacy.
Brand Overview
PetMeds (PetMed Express, Inc., long known as 1-800-PetMeds) is an American online pet pharmacy founded in 1996 in Pompano Beach, Florida, by Marc Puleo. Headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, the publicly traded company sells prescription and non-prescription pet medication nationwide. Its official website is 1800petmeds.com.
History of the PetMeds Logo
For years the company traded under a red-and-blue “1-800-PetMeds” banner that shouted its phone number. The current identity drops the number entirely: a black paw-heart symbol, the name shortened to PetMeds, and the tagline “Care You Trust” — the mark of a pharmacy that no longer needs to introduce itself by telephone.
Meaning of the Logo
- The heart-paw: The pad of the paw is drawn as a heart — the anatomy of the logo performs the tagline before you read it.
- Black, not blue: Where the old logo used pharmacy red and blue, the current mark trusts plain black: confidence instead of advertising.
- The dropped number: “1-800” vanished from the name the moment the brand became the destination rather than the directory listing.

Conclusion
PetMeds’ logo puts its heart where the paw lands: a pharmacy mark that finally says care louder than the phone number.
