Introduction
Two sky-blue words split by a floppy dog ear — the BarkBox logo in this download is the current identity of the original dog subscription box.
Brand Overview
BarkBox is an American subscription service founded in 2011 in New York City by Matt Meeker, Carly Strife and Henrik Werdelin. Operated by their company BARK, it ships a monthly themed box of toys and treats to more than two million dogs, alongside the Super Chewer line and a growing retail presence. Its official website is barkbox.com.
History of the BarkBox Logo
BarkBox launched in the first wave of subscription boxes, and its logo made the product’s two halves explicit: BARK and BOX, joined by a small mark that is half dog ear, half arrow, half box flap depending on how you squint. The sky-blue wordmark has stayed with the boxes through the company’s growth, its public listing as BARK, and its expansion into food and retail.
Meaning of the Logo
- The ear-arrow: The little wedge between the words is a dog’s floppy ear and a play button at once — press here, fun happens.
- Two blunt halves: BARK (the dog) plus BOX (the delivery): the entire business model spelled out in eight letters.
- Sky blue: A bright, toy-like blue that keeps the brand in the playroom rather than the pharmacy aisle.

Conclusion
BarkBox’s logo is its own unboxing: two blue words, one floppy ear, and a boxful of dog joy in between.
