Introduction
Five plump lowercase letters that seem to bounce as you read them — the Chewy logo in this download is the current wordmark of America’s biggest online pet retailer.
Brand Overview
Chewy is an American online retailer of pet food and pet products founded in 2011 in Dania Beach, Florida, by Ryan Cohen and Michael Day. Headquartered in Plantation, Florida, Chewy grew from a startup into the country’s dominant pet e-commerce company, selling tens of thousands of products and going public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019. Its official website is chewy.com.
History of the Chewy Logo
Chewy has used essentially the same wordmark since its first days in 2011 — a stability almost unheard of for a young internet company. The rounded, extra-bold lowercase letters, set in the company’s signature blue and usually shown reversed in white on that blue, have survived the IPO, the PetSmart acquisition years and the company’s growth into pharmacy and pet health without a redesign.
Meaning of the Logo
- The bounce: The letters sit at slightly different heights, as if mid-hop — the visual equivalent of a dog that cannot contain its excitement.
- The rounded weight: Every terminal is soft and chubby, giving the name the friendliness of a stuffed toy rather than a corporation.
- Chewy blue: The deep, confident blue (#1C49C2 in Chewy’s own design system) keeps all that playfulness trustworthy — this is also where your pet’s medicine comes from.

The Chewy wordmark is a one-colour identity in this blue; the space around it in this download is fully transparent.
Conclusion
Chewy’s logo does with five letters what its service promises: energy, softness and zero intimidation — a wordmark that wags.
