Terex Logo Overview
Terex Corporation is an American manufacturer of materials processing machinery, mobile elevating work platforms (through its Genie brand), waste and recycling equipment and utility machinery, operating across the Americas, Europe, Australia and Asia-Pacific.
- Founded: 1933
- Headquarters: Norwalk, Connecticut, USA
- Industry: Construction & Building
- Website: https://www.terex.com
History of the Terex Logo
Terex began in 1933 as the Euclid Company, a maker of earthmoving scrapers and dump trucks, and took the Terex name — from the Latin ‘terra’ (earth) and ‘rex’ (king) — in the late 1960s under General Motors. After decades of acquisitions, including Genie in 2002, the company settled on the current restrained identity: a bold black wordmark with the small red badge.
Meaning of the Terex Logo
- The name itself — ‘king of the earth’ — is the brand promise for heavy lifting and earthmoving.
- The compact badge works like a maker’s stamp of quality on cranes, platforms and processors.
- Black and red give the mark industrial toughness with a single energetic accent.
