History of the Embraer Logo
Embraer — Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica — was created by the Brazilian state in 1969 and privatised in 1994. Its symbol abstracts a bird in flight into a swift, angular mark, part wing, part boomerang curve, reflecting a design philosophy the company states openly: inspired by nature, engineered to fly. The deep blue wordmark beside it has signed everything from the Bandeirante to the E195-E2.
Meaning of the Embraer Logo
- The bird symbol: a wing reduced to a stroke — flight studied from nature, then drawn by engineers.
- The angular cut: the mark is all leading edges, like the aircraft it signs.
- Embraer blue: a saturated southern-sky blue, darker than rivals’ — Brazil’s flag carried into the fuselage band.
