Brand Overview
Textron Inc. is an American industrial conglomerate headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1923 as a textile company by Royal Little, it reinvented itself through acquisitions and today owns Bell helicopters, Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft (Textron Aviation), E-Z-GO golf cars and Arctic Cat — a portfolio built almost entirely in the air and on the ground.

History of the Textron Logo
Textron’s name is a fossil of its first business — textiles — kept through a century of reinvention from yarns to helicopters. The wordmark, heavy blue capitals with a machined, squared cut, has fronted the group for decades while the companies beneath it changed completely. Where rivals redraw, Textron simply persists: the same blue block above Bell, Cessna and Beechcraft.
Meaning of the Textron Logo
- The squared capitals: letters cut like machined parts — a holding company drawn as a component.
- The forward weight: the type sits heavy and leans into its work, more nameplate than advertisement.
- Textron blue: a single industrial blue shared by every subsidiary’s parent signature.
