History of the Rafael Logo
Rafael began as the IDF’s weapons laboratory — its name an acronym for ‘Authority for the Development of Armaments’ — and became a state-owned company in 2002. The identity pairs a calm blue wordmark with an elliptical symbol: an arrow-orbit crossing a ring, suggesting both a missile’s path and a protective arc — the geometry of interception that Iron Dome made famous.
Meaning of the Rafael Logo
- The oval symbol: an orbit and a shield arc in one line — the dome drawn as geometry.
- The arrow: a single projectile crossing the ring — interception, the company’s defining act.
- The tagline: ‘Smart and to the point’ — precision stated as a promise, with the red point to prove it.
