Introduction
The Nilfisk logo is the name NILFISK in heavy dark-navy capitals, its S drawn as two stacked horizontal bars. It belongs to Nilfisk, the Danish maker of professional cleaning equipment founded in 1906. Download the Nilfisk logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Nilfisk was founded in Denmark in 1906 by Peder Andersen Fisker and Hans Marius Nielsen as Fisker & Nielsen — the company name Nilfisk compresses the two founders’ surnames. The company began by producing electrical motors, the basic component in ventilators, kitchen elevators and drilling machines, and grew into a supplier of professional cleaning equipment in industrial, commercial and consumer markets. After acquiring Advance Machine Company in 1994 it traded as Nilfisk-Advance; in 2015 the corporate name was simplified back to Nilfisk, and in October 2017 the company was spun off by NKT Holding and listed independently on Nasdaq Copenhagen. Today Nilfisk has sales entities in 45 countries, dealers in more than 100, and around 4,800 employees.

History of the Nilfisk Logo
The Nilfisk wordmark is a study in engineered lettering: squared capitals with cut corners, and an S rebuilt from two horizontal bars so the name reads like a machine plate. The current form — the version Wikimedia Commons carries as the 2025 Nilfisk logo — is used in dark navy on light backgrounds and reversed in white on the same navy on nilfisk.com. The letterforms have stayed constant through the company’s changes of name and ownership; only the colour treatment flips.
Meaning of the Nilfisk Logo
- The bar-built S: the S is drawn as two stacked bars instead of a curve — the most engineered letter in the name, and the mark’s fingerprint.
- Squared capitals: every letter is built on a square grid with clipped corners, like the folded sheet metal of the machines themselves.
- Nilfisk navy: a deep blue-grey that sits in the professional-cleaning world between corporate blue and machine enamel.

The standalone wordmark is a single navy; on the company’s own site the same letters are reversed in white out of that navy.
Conclusion
Nilfisk’s logo is a name machined rather than drawn — squared letters, a bar-built S, one deep navy. Download the Nilfisk logo in SVG and transparent PNG formats, free at VectorDose.
