Introduction
The Metabo logo is the name in rounded lowercase letters in a dark green. It belongs to Metabo, the German power-tool maker from Nürtingen, founded in 1924. Download the Metabo logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Metabo was founded in 1924 in Nürtingen, Germany, by Albrecht Schnizler; the name is short for “Metallbohrdreher”, the metal drill that was its first product. Metabo built its reputation on angle grinders and professional metalworking tools, all in its signature dark green. The company was acquired by Hitachi Koki (now Koki Holdings) in 2016, keeping the Metabo brand and its Nürtingen base.

History of the Metabo Logo
Metabo’s wordmark has been lowercase and rounded for decades — unusual in an industry of shouting capitals. The letterforms were gently modernised over time while the dark green (carried on every tool housing) stayed fixed. The current mark drops the old tagline and lets the soft, heavy lowercase stand alone.
Meaning of the Metabo Logo
- Lowercase letters: rounded lowercase reads as approachable engineering — precision without aggression.
- Dark green: Metabo green is the brand: the tools, the cases and the wordmark all share the same deep shade.
- The name itself: “Metabo” is a compressed product description — Metallbohrdreher — German engineering literalism at its finest.

Conclusion
Metabo whispers where rivals shout, and the dark green lowercase is why it is recognised anyway. Download the Metabo logo in SVG and transparent PNG formats, free at VectorDose.
