History of the Celine Logo
Céline Vipiana’s house long signed itself “CÉLINE” in spaced serif capitals, accent proudly intact. In September 2018, artistic director Hedi Slimane unveiled a new wordmark: the accent aigu removed, letters tightened and set in a modernist sans-serif directly inspired by the house’s own 1960s lettering. The change — announced with the deletion of the brand’s entire Instagram history — was pure Slimane: respect the archive, erase the decoration. The accentless CELINE in this download remains the house’s wordmark today.
