About the Loewe Logo Logo
Introduction
Classical Roman capitals with the calm of a Madrid salon — the Loewe logo in this download is the wordmark of Spain’s oldest luxury house, the leather masters of the Prado’s city.
Brand Overview
Loewe is a Spanish luxury fashion house founded in 1846 in Madrid, Spain, when a collective of leather artisans joined workshops in the city centre. Now LVMH’s Spanish jewel and long led creatively by Jonathan Anderson, Loewe is revered for leather craft — the Puzzle and Flamenco bags — and a deep dialogue with art. Its official website is loewe.com. (Note: this is the fashion house — not Loewe the German electronics brand, which has its own page on VectorDose.)
History of the Loewe Logo
The house took its name from Enrique Loewe Roessberg, the German craftsman who united the Madrid workshops in the 1870s, and supplied the Spanish royal court from 1905. Its wordmark has long been set in stately serif capitals, and in 1970 the artist Vicente Vela drew the famous anagram of four interlaced Ls. Under Jonathan Anderson from 2014, the serif LOEWE lettering — the form in this download — was kept deliberately classical while the anagram returned to centre stage, a pairing of nineteenth-century type and modern art-world energy.
Meaning of the Logo
- Roman serif capitals: Lettering worthy of a royal warrant — craft heritage rather than fashion noise.
- The anagram: Four Ls woven like leather strands (Vicente Vela, 1970) — the house’s symbol alongside this wordmark.
- Restraint: Spain’s oldest luxury house signs quietly; the leather is expected to speak first.

Black is the artwork’s only colour, and the space around the wordmark in this download is fully transparent.
Conclusion
Loewe’s logo carries 180 years without raising its voice — serif capitals from a house that lets craftsmanship do the talking.
