About Royal Air Maroc
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is the national flag carrier of Morocco, founded in 1957 through the merger of Air Atlas and Air Maroc, and headquartered in Casablanca. From its hub at Mohammed V International Airport, the airline connects Morocco to destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, and it joined the oneworld airline alliance in 2020. Royal Air Maroc plays a central role in Moroccan tourism, diaspora travel, and cargo, and it operates a modern fleet dominated by Boeing aircraft on one of Africa’s most extensive route networks. Joining the oneworld alliance in 2020 connected Royal Air Maroc’s African network to a global partnership of leading airlines. The airline’s cargo division plays a vital role in Morocco’s fresh-produce exports to Europe.
Royal Air Maroc Logo Meaning and History
The Royal Air Maroc logo features the airline’s name alongside a distinctive emblem inspired by the Moroccan star — the green pentagram from the national flag — often rendered in red and green national colors. The design blends aviation dynamism with Moroccan heritage, using elegant typography that conveys premium service. The identity has evolved from classic mid-century airline branding into a contemporary mark, with the star motif remaining the proud symbol of the Kingdom in the skies. The Moroccan star from the national flag anchors the livery, making every aircraft a flying ambassador for the Kingdom.
