Introduction
The Hilti logo is the word HILTI in white block letters on a red rectangle. It belongs to Hilti Corporation, the Liechtenstein construction-technology company founded by Martin Hilti in 1941. Download the Hilti logo in SVG and PNG formats below, free at VectorDose.
Brand Overview
Hilti was founded in 1941 in Schaan, Liechtenstein, when Martin Hilti opened a small engineering workshop with five employees. It pioneered powder-actuated fastening, then built a global business on direct sales — Hilti representatives visiting construction sites rather than selling through shops. Today Hilti employs around 34,000 people and is synonymous with professional fastening, drilling and demolition systems.
- Founded: 1941, Schaan, Liechtenstein
- Founder: Martin Hilti
- Industry: Construction tools and fastening systems
- Headquarters: Schaan, Liechtenstein
History of the Hilti Logo
Hilti’s post-war marks gave way to the stark red rectangle with white capitals that the company still uses. The block lettering — note the wide, squared H and the tight spacing — was designed to be stencilled onto tool cases and read across a construction site. It has barely changed in decades, one of the most conservative identities in the industry.
Meaning of the Hilti Logo
- The red rectangle: the bar is a site marker — Hilti red flags the company’s cases, vans and service points on any job site.
- Block letters: the extra-wide capitals are engineered letterforms, spaced like components on a rail.
- No symbol: like Stanley, Hilti trusts the name alone; the rectangle is all the icon it needs.

A single red and white: the colours of the Austrian-Liechtenstein alpine world Hilti comes from, and of high-visibility site signage.
Conclusion
The Hilti logo is construction thinking applied to typography — a red beam with the name bolted on. Download the Hilti logo in SVG and transparent PNG formats, free at VectorDose.
