Etex Logo Overview
Etex is a Belgian global building materials group — fibre-cement boards (Equitone, Cedral), plasterboard (Siniat), passive fire protection (Promat) and offsite construction — founded as Eternit in 1905 and now active in more than 45 countries.
- Founded: 1905
- Headquarters: Zaventem (Brussels), Belgium
- Industry: Construction & Building
- Website: https://www.etexgroup.com
History of the Etex Logo
Alphonse Emsens founded Eternit in 1905 after acquiring the fibre-cement patent, and the Eternit name served for over a century. As the group diversified far beyond one material, it adopted the name Etex and, in its current identity, a friendly lowercase wordmark where the X — the meeting point of materials, brands and people — is highlighted in orange.
Meaning of the Etex Logo
- The orange crossing of the X marks connection: brands, materials and partners meeting in one group.
- Lowercase lettering gives a century-old industrial group a modern, human tone.
- The strapline ‘Building better together’ states the group’s collaboration-first strategy outright.
