History of the Elbit Systems Logo
Elbit grew from Israel’s Ministry of Defense computer division into a global group, and its identity is a study in contrast: a friendly italic wordmark laid over a hard geometric triangle. The yellow wedge — part arrowhead, part warning sign — has fronted the company for decades and remains the logo its own site serves today, a rare survivor in an industry of navy-blue wordmarks.
Meaning of the Elbit Systems Logo
- The yellow triangle: an arrowhead and a hazard wedge in one shape — direction and warning, impossible to ignore on a hangar wall.
- The italic name: the wordmark leans forward across the wedge, systems in motion.
- Blue on yellow: sky over desert — the two fields Elbit’s sensors and drones work in.
