Cablevision Systems Corporation was an American cable television company serving the New York City area — New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and parts of Pennsylvania. At its peak it was the fifth-largest cable provider and ninth-largest television provider in the United States. Through its Optimum brand, Cablevision offered Optimum Online high-speed internet, Optimum TV digital cable, and Optimum Voice phone service. The company also operated Rainbow Media, whose assets were spun off as AMC Networks in 2011. On 21 June 2016, Cablevision was acquired by European telecom group Altice for $17.7 billion, and its services continue today under Optimum.
The Cablevision identity stood for the tri-state area’s homegrown cable giant — a straightforward, corporate wordmark that appeared on bills, vans, and set-top boxes across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut for decades. Alongside it, the Optimum brand — first used in commerce in August 1994 — became the consumer-facing face of the company’s internet, TV, and phone bundles, eventually outliving the Cablevision name itself after the Altice acquisition.
The Cablevision wordmark traditionally appeared in a strong corporate color scheme with a clean, bold sans-serif, projecting the reliability of a utility serving millions of homes. The flat vector artwork reproduces crisply at any size, so whether you need a cablevision logo png with a transparent background or a cablevision logo svg for editorial use, the mark stays sharp.
