Boral Logo Overview
Boral Limited is an Australian building and construction materials company supplying concrete, asphalt, quarries and cement nationwide, founded in 1946 and now owned by Seven Group Holdings.
- Founded: 1946
- Headquarters: Sydney, Australia
- Industry: Construction & Building
- Website: https://www.boral.com.au
History of the Boral Logo
Boral began in 1946 as Bitumen and Oil Refineries (Australia) Limited — BORAL — refining bitumen in Sydney before expanding into quarrying, concrete and building products. Its striped block logo, stacking the name over yellow and green bands, became one of Australia’s most familiar industrial marks and has survived every ownership change since.
Meaning of the Boral Logo
- The stacked block mimics a pallet of building materials — the company’s whole business in one shape.
- Yellow and green are Australia’s national colors, rooting the brand in its home market.
- The heavy slab lettering matches the weight of concrete and asphalt the company hauls daily.
