About Arrow Electronics
Arrow Electronics, Inc. is one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components and computer products, headquartered in Centennial, Colorado. It began in 1935, when Maurice (“Murray”) Goldberg opened Arrow Radio on Cortlandt Street in Manhattan’s “Radio Row,” selling used radios and parts. Incorporated as Arrow Electronics, Inc. in 1946, it soon supplied electronic parts to industrial customers. In 1968, three Harvard Business School graduates — B. Duke Glenn Jr., Roger E. Green, and John C. Waddell — bought a controlling interest and consolidated the fragmented industry. Arrow went public in 1961 and grew into a Fortune 500 technology powerhouse serving hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide.
