The Anaheim Angels was the name of Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Angels franchise from 1997 to 2004. The franchise itself was founded in 1961 in Los Angeles by singer and actor Gene Autry as one of MLB’s first expansion teams. The team moved to Anaheim in 1966, becoming the California Angels (1965–1996); when The Walt Disney Company took control in 1997, the club was renamed the Anaheim Angels. Under that name the franchise won its only World Series in 2002, defeating the San Francisco Giants in seven games. In 2005 “Los Angeles” returned to the name, and since 2016 the club has simply been the Los Angeles Angels.
The Anaheim Angels logo is a bold red letter “A” crowned with a golden halo — a direct, elegant visual pun on the team name. Introduced during the Disney era, it replaced the earlier “Big A” design with something cleaner. The halo above the “A” captures the franchise’s nickname, “The Halos.”
The Anaheim Angels logo uses red, navy blue, and silver-white: a red block “A” with a golden halo, typically on navy or white. The letterform is a bold, athletic sans-serif with classic collegiate styling. Whether you need an anaheim angels logo png with a transparent background or an anaheim angels logo svg vector, the flat red-and-navy artwork stays recognizable at any size.
