Ada is a structured, statically typed, high-level programming language designed for software engineers and standardized internationally — it is described as the first ISO-standardized object-oriented programming language. Named after 19th-century mathematician Ada Lovelace, it was developed for large, long-lived, safety-critical systems. It is widely used in aerospace, defense, rail transport, and financial systems, where reliability matters more than raw development speed. It is supported by a global community and by AdaCore, the main commercial steward of Ada tooling.
Notably, there is no single official logo for the Ada programming language — community archives note that several initiatives were approved by major community groups over the years. The best-known marks include the 1994 “Ada, The Language For a Complex World” emblem, approved by the Ada Joint Program Office, which combined a globe symbol with the logotype, and the “Ada Horizon” logo first seen in 2012, which AdaCore released into the public domain (CC-0) on January 10, 2023. The community coin artwork carries the motto “In Strong Typing We Trust”, a nod to its rigorous type system.
Because there is no single official logo, Ada has no fixed brand colors — community marks appear in various palettes, often deep blues and metallic coin tones. The wordmark is typically set in a classical serif style befitting the language’s namesake. If you need an ada logo png with a transparent background or an ada logo svg vector for slides and documentation, the public-domain Horizon artwork is the most freely reusable option.
