AccentHealth was a healthcare media company founded in 1995 in Tampa, Florida, by Philip M. Cohen and Richard Ruth. It built a point-of-care patient education network that reached 30,000 medical offices and more than 70,000 medical practitioners, placing television screens in physician waiting rooms and delivering condition-specific content in exam rooms. Its award-winning waiting-room programming was produced by CNN’s Medical Unit and co-hosted by CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta and HLN’s Robin Meade, while exam-room content was developed with Harvard Medical School. In November 2016, AccentHealth was acquired by ContextMedia, which later changed its name to Outcome Health.
The AccentHealth name combined “accent” — emphasis, focus — with “health,” capturing the company’s mission to put patient education at the center of the doctor’s visit. Its branding was built for the trusted environment of the physician’s office, where the network’s health and wellness programming aimed to inspire patients to live healthier lives. The identity supported an advertising-funded model: the service was free to physician offices and supported by health and wellness advertisers.
AccentHealth’s identity used a clean, clinical wordmark suited to healthcare media — trustworthy blues and greens of the medical world, set in friendly, approachable lettering. Whether you need an accenthealth logo png with a transparent background or an accenthealth logo svg vector for crisp scaling, the simple wordmark stays legible at any size.
