About Tempo

Tempo is a San Francisco-based connected-fitness company founded in 2015 by Moawia Eldeeb and Josh Augustin. Its AI-powered home gym uses 3D motion sensors to track the user’s form in real time — counting reps, correcting technique, and recommending weights across dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells. The Tempo Studio cabinet, launched in February 2020 with a 42-inch touchscreen, brought the system mainstream during the home-fitness boom. In April 2021 Tempo closed a $220 million Series C led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, bringing total funding to nearly $300 million.

Tempo Logo Meaning and History

“Tempo” — pace, rhythm — captures the brand’s training philosophy: strength built rep by rep, at your own cadence. The logo is a bold, abstract monochrome mark with a clean wordmark, avoiding fitness clichés in favor of geometry that hints at the 3D motion-tracking technology at the product’s core.

Tempo Logo Evolution

• 2015 — The founding identity, born from the SmartSpot computer-vision prototype Eldeeb and Augustin built for gyms.
• 2020 — The mark fronted the Tempo Studio launch, the freestanding cabinet with 3D camera coaching.
• 2021 — The identity carried into the SoftBank-backed scale-up era as Tempo added live classes and one-on-one coaching.
