NFTX is a decentralized protocol creating liquid markets for illiquid NFTs, founded in January 2021 by Alex Gausman on Ethereum. Anyone can create a vault for an NFT collection: deposit NFTs, mint fungible ERC-20 vTokens representing a claim on a vault asset. vTokens trade on DEXs like Sushiswap and Uniswap, can be staked for rewards, or redeemed for a vault NFT. Vaults have been created for major collections including CryptoPunks, CryptoKitties and Hashmasks. The NFTX token grants governance rights, and the V3 upgrade added a native automated market maker.
