MetroLyrics was a lyrics-dedicated website founded in December 2002 in Vancouver by Milun Tesovic and Alan Juristovski. Its database held over one million songs by more than 16,000 artists; it was the first lyrics site to license Gracenote’s catalogue, paying royalties to rights holders.
Acquired by CBS Interactive in October 2011; the site went offline in June 2021.
