Today it ranks among the world’s largest tire makers, producing tires for passenger cars, SUVs, trucks, and motorsport, and supplying original equipment to global automakers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Hyundai. Hankook operates research and production facilities across Asia, Europe, and North America, and is a prominent sponsor of motorsport series including Formula E and the UEFA Europa League. The company supplies original-equipment tires to premium automakers and sponsors top motorsport series including Formula E. Its Technodome R&D center in Daejeon drives innovation in tire performance and sustainability.
The Hankook logo features a bold, italicized wordmark that conveys speed, motion, and performance — fitting for a tire brand. The slanted letterforms suggest forward momentum, while the strong, compact design reads clearly on tire sidewalls, dealership signage, and race cars. Over the decades the identity has been modernized from its mid-century origins into a sleek global mark, with the italic style becoming one of the most recognizable signatures in the automotive aftermarket. The italicized wordmark literally leans forward, a classic automotive-branding trick to convey speed and performance. The familiar red packaging has looked essentially the same for generations — a mark of enduring trust.
