Aventis Behring was the therapeutic protein business of Aventis Pharma AG and a global leader in the therapeutic protein industry. The company researched and developed therapies derived from human blood plasma — including coagulation therapies, immunoglobulins, wound-healing agents, and plasma expanders — and provided support services to patients worldwide. Its US operations were based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In 2004, the business was acquired by CSL and combined with ZLB Bioplasma to create ZLB Behring, later renamed CSL Behring.
