Autocourse is the world’s leading Grand Prix annual, a yearbook dedicated to motor racing and Formula One in particular. The first edition appeared in 1951 as a quarterly review of motorsport, with each article published in four languages — English, French, German and Italian. Annual editions followed from 1959 (paperback) and 1961/62 (hardback). Each volume combines a season review, team-by-team analysis, statistics, the editor’s Top Ten drivers ranking (since 1966) and a foreword by the reigning F1 World Champion — a tradition begun by Jim Clark in 1963. Edited for decades by Alan Henry and, since 2016, Tony Dodgins, Autocourse annuals are highly collectible among racing fans.
The Autocourse logo is the title itself: a bold, italic yellow wordmark that has dominated the annual’s covers for decades. The yellow evokes racing speed and energy, while the italic slant gives the lettering forward motion. The cover pairs the yellow title with a full-page photograph of that year’s championship-winning driver, making the book instantly recognizable.
The brand’s signature color is racing yellow, the bold italic lettering standing out against the dark, dramatic photography of each cover. The custom lettering is heavy and slanted, and has changed remarkably little over the decades. Whether you need an autocourse logo png with a transparent background or an autocourse logo svg vector for crisp scaling, the yellow-on-dark artwork stays unmistakable at any size.
