Atari Games Corporation was an American producer of arcade video games, active from 1985 to 1999. It was formed when Warner Communications transferred the coin-operated division of the original Atari, Inc. into a joint venture with Japan’s Namco — a different company from Atari Corporation, the home-computer business sold to Jack Tramiel. Based in Milpitas, California, Atari Games created arcade classics including Gauntlet, Paperboy, RoadBlasters, Klax, Hard Drivin’, and Tetris. Its home-console releases, published under the Tengen label to comply with a legal ban on using the Atari name in the consumer market, became famous for their legal battles with Nintendo over the NES lockout chip.
The Atari Games logo carried the legendary Atari Fuji symbol — the stylized letter A whose flowing curves were said to represent two opposing players and the center court line of Pong. The company’s agreement with Tramiel’s Atari Corporation required the word Games to always follow Atari on the logo, distinguishing the arcade company from its home-market namesake. In red, the Fuji mark remains one of gaming’s most enduring icons.
The Atari Games logo centers on the red Fuji symbol paired with bold ATARI GAMES lettering in a clean sans-serif. Whether you need an atari games logo png with a transparent background or an atari games logo svg vector for retro-gaming projects, the simple, geometric mark stays sharp at any size.
