Asüna was a Canadian automobile marque created by General Motors for the Canadian market. Launched in April 1992, the brand was sold through Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealers as a counterpart to Geo, which was sold at Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Cadillac outlets. Asüna offered compact cars drawn from GM’s global platforms — including the sporty Sunfire, a rebadged Isuzu Impulse also sold as the Geo Storm — positioned between Pontiac and Chevrolet at affordable prices. The experiment was short-lived: Asüna lasted barely two years, and General Motors discontinued the brand in July 1994 after Canadians proved far more willing to buy Geos.
The Asüna logo was a study in minimalism: a black triangular emblem with rounded corners above a bold wordmark, with the two dots of the umlaut over the u replaced by miniature squares for a modern, technological touch. The geometric lettering, mixing sharp angles with soft transitions, was meant to convey freshness, energy, and international flair — an umlaut adding European sophistication to a Canadian-market brand.
The Asüna logo is rendered entirely in black, emphasizing strength and simplicity, with a custom geometric font whose squared umlaut dots give it a distinctive tech character. Whether you need an asüna logo png with a transparent background or an asüna logo svg vector for automotive-history projects, the stark black artwork reproduces crisply at any size.
