Amsterdamsche FC — commonly known as AFC — is a Dutch football club based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The club is part of the rich amateur and semi-professional football tradition of the Dutch capital, a city famous worldwide for Ajax but home to many other historic clubs as well. Dutch football culture is built on community clubs like Amsterdamsche FC, which develop local players and sustain neighborhood rivalries across the country’s league system. The club carries the name of its city with pride, representing Amsterdam’s deep and diverse footballing heritage. The club plays in the Dutch football league system, where hundreds of amateur clubs sustain the country’s famous football culture. Amsterdam’s football pyramid includes dozens of clubs, each with fiercely loyal neighborhood followings.
The Amsterdamsche logo is a classic Dutch football badge rendered in a circular format. The design features bold black lettering of the club name set within the roundel, using a minimalist, high-contrast style in black, white, and red accents. Circular badges of this type are traditional in Dutch football and reproduce cleanly on kits, scarves, and club stationery.
