The American Heart Association (AHA) is a nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded on June 10, 1924, in Chicago by six cardiologists, including Paul Dudley White, and now headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the AHA funds cardiovascular research — over $6.1 billion since 1949 — publishes clinical guidelines, and runs public health campaigns such as Go Red for Women, launched in 2004. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in June 2024.
The American Heart Association logo features a bold red heart containing a stylized white human figure, a mark that ties the organization’s mission directly to the people it serves. The heart is the universal symbol of cardiovascular health, while the figure inside represents patients, survivors, and the millions the AHA’s research and education aim to protect.
The American Heart Association logo is rendered in the organization’s signature red (approximately #C1272D) paired with white, a high-contrast pairing that reads instantly as health and urgency. The accompanying wordmark uses a clean, modern sans-serif. Whether you need an american heart association logo png with a transparent background or an american heart association logo svg vector for crisp scaling, the flat red artwork stays bold at any size.
