About Aeroquip
Aeroquip is a historic American brand of hydraulic hose, fittings, and fluid-conveyance products, today part of Danfoss Power Solutions following Danfoss’s acquisition of Eaton’s hydraulics business. The Aeroquip Corporation was founded in 1940 in Jackson, Michigan, by Peter F. Hurst, a young German aeronautical engineer who held the patent rights to two aviation-industry innovations: detachable reusable hose fittings and self-sealing couplings. During World War II, Aeroquip products became military standards on all U.S. aircraft, building the brand’s reputation for quality. In 1999 it became the Aeroquip Group of Eaton; its hoses, fittings, adapters, couplings, and MatchMate pairing system serve the industrial, aerospace, and automotive sectors worldwide.
Aeroquip Logo Meaning and History
The Aeroquip name itself blends “aero” and “equip”, recalling the brand’s origins in aviation equipment. The logo is a bold, forward-leaning italic wordmark whose speed and slant evoke fluid in motion and the high-pressure performance of its hoses and fittings. For over 80 years the mark has signified engineered reliability in fluid power, from wartime aircraft to modern hydraulics.

Aeroquip Logo Colors and Font
The Aeroquip wordmark is a bold italic sans-serif with a strong forward slant, traditionally rendered in the brand’s blue and offered here in a one-color version. The aggressive italics and tight letterforms communicate speed and pressure — the essence of hydraulics.
