About Dashlane
Dashlane is a password manager and digital wallet application available on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. Founded in Paris on 6 July 2009 by Bernard Liautaud, Alexis Fogel, Guillaume Maron, and Jean Guillou, it released its first software on 23 May 2012, offering AES-256 encrypted password storage behind a single master password. The service has grown into a full security suite with autofill, password generation, dark web monitoring, multi-factor authentication, and a VPN, serving both consumers and businesses from offices in New York City and Paris.
Dashlane Logo Meaning and History
Dashlane’s original logo featured an impala — one of the fastest antelopes — set inside a shield, a symbol of both speed and protection that perfectly captured a password manager’s promise. In January 2020, the company unveiled a simpler identity: a bold letter D constructed from vertical dashes — a literal visual pun on the name Dashlane. The redesign kept the brand’s spirit while giving it the polished, serious look needed to compete in enterprise security markets.
Dashlane Logo Evolution
- 2009: Dashlane is founded in Paris; the original identity features the impala-in-a-shield emblem.
- 2012: The first Dashlane software launches, carrying the impala logo across desktop and mobile apps.
- January 2020: A major rebrand replaces the impala with a minimalist D made of vertical dashes, plus a new dark-green palette and typeface.
- 2020s: The dash-D mark becomes the face of Dashlane’s consumer apps, browser extensions, and business dashboards.
Dashlane Logo Colors and Font
The modern Dashlane identity is built on a dark Dash Green paired with white — a serious, security-minded palette — with the lowercase wordmark set in a contemporary geometric sans-serif. The flat, minimal artwork scales perfectly from browser toolbar icons to billboards, so whether you need a dashlane logo png with a transparent background or a dashlane logo svg vector, the mark stays crisp.
