About the Aurora Logo

About Aurora

Aurora is a Russian airline serving the country’s Far East, with main bases in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. It was established in November 2013 by order of Dmitry Medvedev through the merger of two regional carriers — SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia — as a subsidiary of Aeroflot, which holds a 51 percent stake. The airline began flying on December 8, 2013, connecting remote Far Eastern cities, and was named after the Russian cruiser Aurora.

Aurora Logo Meaning and History

The Aurora logo was designed by Landor Associates. Its emblem is a stylized figure 8 tilted to the left — an infinity symbol representing the two airlines that merged to create Aurora, and suggesting the comfort and quality of its service. The designers drew inspiration from ancient cave paintings of Russia’s Far East. The name itself evokes the aurora borealis, the magical northern lights.

Aurora Logo Evolution

  • 2013 — The brand identity is created by Landor Associates at the airline’s founding; the infinity emblem and wordmark debut.
  • 2013–present — The logo has remained consistent, applied across the fleet of Airbus, Bombardier, and Viking aircraft.
  • Present — The identity continues to represent Aeroflot’s Far East subsidiary.

Aurora Logo Colors and Font

Deep blue dominates the Aurora identity — a color of sky, reliability, and professionalism — paired with a clean, modern sans-serif wordmark. Whether you need an aurora logo png with a transparent background or an aurora logo svg vector for crisp scaling, the simple emblem stays sharp at any size.
