Ithra — the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture — is Saudi Aramco’s landmark cultural institution in Dhahran, opened in 2018. Designed by the Norwegian architects Snohetta, its striking pebble-like towers house a museum, library, theater, cinema, children’s museum, and innovation labs. Ithra was created to foster creativity, knowledge, and cross-cultural dialogue in the Kingdom, hosting exhibitions, performances, and learning programs that have made it one of Saudi Arabia’s most important cultural destinations. Snohetta’s pebble-like architecture made the center an instant landmark on Dhahran’s skyline. Its theater hosts international performances that draw audiences from across the Gulf.
The Ithra logo — “Ithra” meaning “enrichment” — is a refined, contemporary wordmark that mirrors the center’s architectural elegance. Typically rendered in sophisticated, minimal typography, the identity reflects creativity, knowledge, and openness. The design’s clean lines echo the smooth, futuristic forms of the Ithra complex itself, appearing across exhibition branding, publications, and digital platforms as a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s cultural renaissance. The minimal wordmark mirrors the building’s smooth, futuristic forms — culture expressed through design restraint. The bilingual logo serves both local clients and international partners. The company’s reputation rests on delivering projects on time.
