ASC Ajax de Guaíba is a Brazilian football club based in Guaíba, Rio Grande do Sul, competing in local and regional competitions. The club takes its name and inspiration from AFC Ajax of Amsterdam, one of world football’s most famous institutions — a tribute adopted by many Brazilian clubs that admire the Dutch team’s philosophy and success. Based in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, the club represents community football in southern Brazil, where neighborhood teams are central to local sporting life. Like many grassroots Brazilian sides, it sustains the football culture that feeds the country’s professional game.
The ASC Ajax de Guaíba logo is a Brazilian grassroots football crest that pays homage to its famous Dutch namesake. Clubs inspired by AFC Ajax often echo elements of the Amsterdam club’s iconic imagery — the classical profile and red-and-white color scheme — while adding their own local identity, such as the Guaíba name and Rio Grande do Sul references. The badge follows the traditional Brazilian format of shields containing initials, city names, and team colors, designed to be worn proudly on kits and displayed on community banners. The logo embodies the admiration Brazilian football holds for Ajax’s legacy and the local pride of Guaíba.
